About Ruby Lou

Ruby Lou is a fun contemporary boutique that features a great variety of clothing, accessories, jewelry and shoes. Lou, the owner of Ruby Lou feels that a great shopping experience not only has something to do with a great product mix, but should have everything to do with the relationship as well. The care, the service, the effort and the appreciation one should feel when they choose to spend their time and money at a particular store. She realized that great service and a true interest in people was fast becoming a thing of the past.

Realizing that Eagle, Idaho and the greater Boise area could benefit from a boutique that incorporates these values, she decided it was time to put Ruby Lou on the map. The store opened in 2003 and with the help of the wonderful people who work at the store and the fabulous people that shop at the store …Ruby Lou has continued to grow.

Who is this Lovely Lady?

The inspiration for Ruby Lou has literally been around since 1917. This vintage fashion lady has served as the foundation for the name of the store and the identity that surrounds it. Lou’s grandmother Lena Dean, created the fashion lady while attending art school at the Chicago Art Institute in 1917. Lou thought the fashion lady was the perfect icon to exemplify the values of the store. To Lou, she represented some of those simple values from the past and of course…..fashion with a bit of a quirk.

Like all of us, our fashion lady couldn’t just wear the same thing all of the time; so you’ll see she has enjoyed a few updates and a few new outfits to boot!
